Is fine art still considered to be a good investment?

How have you shown this to be true? Have you noticed others who still value art? How is it evident in their life?

1. If its really fine art! A lot of people don't know what constitutes fine art when they see it. They buy pictures of football players and motorcycles, or martini glasses. barf! I value art! I'm an artist, so I better! lol Its evident in my life if you look at my walls! I only collect real fine art. :) Original work, done by my friends. Hopefully, one day I will be rich enough to collect big names- like Sally Mann! I want one of her photographs SO BAD! Or a Chuck Close! I would die if I ever had a Chuck Close painting!!
