Is Art History required as a general education class in college?
Im in high school right now and I'm thinking about talking AP Art History. But I am not sure if Art History is even needed as a Pre-req/GED class in college for the nursing field. Can someone help me out?

- Yes. Most schools have an arts requirement.
- It depends on the school - it should at least count for some type of humanities credit, or perhaps an elective if the college doesn't offer credit for art history.
- Normally not a specific requirement unless you major in the art field itself. However, as it is a standardized introductory humanity course it may be used to fulfill a humanity requirement that a college requires.
- Depends on the school. An arts course (not necessarily art history though) is required at some schools like Berkeley, but not at others like Cal-tech and MIT. Generally speaking math and science schools probably wont require it, but liberal arts colleges probably will. Thanks Bill
